Review : AWESOME!!!!
So I am the type of person who will try something out, and if it doesn't live up to the hype, I will take it back. This washer is AWESOME with a few exceptions. To us, these are very expensive machines and we had to think long and hard about the price, features, durability and reliability. We were also very concerned that this monster size washer/dryer set wouldn't fit in our small laundry room, even after multiple measurements. We even planned on permanently removing a door to make it fit. We looked at HE Top loaders but decided they just wouldn't meet our needs. When we purchased the dryer, we opted to have the vent go to the right side instead of the back which was a great decision. Because we did so, when we stacked them, we found they only need a couple of inches space from the wall so they fit like a glove. We actually couldn't believe it. For those other people who have small laundry rooms, if you vent out to the side, you only need like 2 inches behind the washer dryer...
Review : Worked great until it died
We bought this washer in November 2012 because we needed a larger capacity washer and this washer definitely fits the bill for that. I've never owned an LG appliance before and had previously only used Whirlpool or Kenmore. I decided to give LG a shot since it's the largest home washer on the market and it received good ratings from Consumer Reports. We can wash our king size comforter, comforter cover, sheets, and pillow case in a single load. There are a ton of options for different cycles and you can even create your custom one. The washer itself seemed to do a good job washing and getting out stains that were pretreated. We have two young boys so this happened a LOT. The washer also is very quiet and doesn't vibrate during spin cycles. Although that's not a huge deal for us since it's located in our basement.

After our Kenmore HE washer literally spun itself to death after nine years, we immediately jumped at the chance to own an LG instead. (We had previously used a friend's LG front loader while on a vacation, and guiltily fell in love. ;) )

We have six children, so we like to have a machine that has a large capacity. This definitely fits the bill. I can wash almost two of the previous machine's loads at once in this machine. Our comforter fits nicely, and I can wash an entire child's bedding (comforter, sheets, etc.) all at once without a problem. On the other hand, the machine also has a system that weighs the clothing before any water is added so that it can guess how much water is needed to wash the clothes, so washing smaller loads doesn't waste water. SO nice! The only problem we have with larger loads is that we don't currently own the matching dryer, so, even though the dryer we have is a large capacity, it gets pretty full with the loads I wash in this washer.
