Review : Best washer made today

Even though I bought this washer through a local retailer and not on Amazon, this is a great washer. Fills to top unlike those so called HE washers. Even the heavy cycle is done in about 37 minutes. Does a great job of removing stains and pet hair from kids clothing even without pre treating. No issues of mold smell in the drum even with leaving the lid down. I hope the eco nuts don't outlaw this type of washer which I hear rumors of after 2017 they will. How can those so called HE washers be better for the environment when they run over twice as long and then having to rewash when clothing still comes out dirty. Saving water is maybe an issue if you live in the middle of a desert, but most the country has no issues of water shortages.

I stopped a local appliance repairman on the street a while back and asked him face to face "if he was to buy a top loading washer and dryer what brand would he buy?", he answered he'd buy a Speed Queen set. Just an old school washer and dryer, turn the knobs, no fancy electronics just analog timers, no locking lids, you choose the water levels, American made. Just what we wanted. He was right to suggest this set for me.
