Review : SAMSUNG WASHER IS HORRIBLE---DON'T BUY, ESPECIALLY WITHOUT EXT'D WARRANTY!!

I bought both the Samsung washer and dryer back on 11/26/12. Although the DRYER hasn't given me any trouble, the WASHER has had to be serviced THREE TIMES in a YEAR!!! I stupidly did NOT get the extended warranty and the cost for repairs to these machines almost meets the cost of a NEW machine.
I'm stuck. I can't get an extended warranty now since it is just over a year old, but please don't make the same mistake as me. I usually like Samsung products (phones, TVs, etc.) but this time they messed up royally!! And, since I can't afford a new machine right now, it looks like I'll be heading to the Laundromat now....
PLEASE, don't be fooled by the positive comments you see on this machine...it doesn't stand the test of time (not even a YEAR).

Review : Junk!

Failed after 6 mos, the wash tub looks like it was imbalanced during the wash and and initiated self destruct sequence! Plastic pieces in the wash tub, the upper flange is worn away as well as top of the tub. The stainless base of the tub seperated from the plastic surround and caused a razor sharp circle of death that destroyed some clothing...I work in the plastics industry and can tell you this is a poor design and poorly made plastic parts... I am waiting on the warranty battle over the cost of the repairs, I did not buy the extended warranty based on its "10 year" warranty from the manufacturer. Found it did not clean very well or rinse completely on top of it. I am anticipating going back to the standard agitator model ala' Speed Queen which are still built in the US with metal components .

Review : Undependable Life Expectancy. Didn't Last 2 Year

Purchase this washer July 2012. Now it's April 2014. The auto-balance worked so poorly, the "Plastic" bracket that held the water pump broke which subsequently tore the hose off the tub and leaked all the water. A real mess. My wife commented the auto water level does not put enough water in the tub. She constantly had to stop it because the racket was so loud she thought it was about to explode. Apparently the auto balance does not work correctly either. I did install a new motor I purchased. The wire to the motor kept breaking. (6 Times.) I finally had enough and rolled the thing out on the drive way knowing a "SCRAP" man would get it. This Samsung washer was the worst I've had in 40 years. Kenmore here I come.......Samsung - never again.
